The South West Coast Path measures 630 miles in length, starting in Minehead on the Somerset coast. It continues along the North Devon coast, along the whole of the Cornwall coast and the South Devon coast. The final stretch along the Dorset coast finishes at South Haven Point on Poole Harbour.

I usually manage 4 weeks worth of walking the South West Coast Path during any given year and this website documents these walks together with any other walks that I happen to venture out on.

The 2026 walking season will kick off unusually early in February as we’re staying for a few days in Bath so I’ll take the opportunity to walk the Bath Skyline.

We are then staying in Kennack Sands on The Lizard in May before heading to North Devon in June. September sees us back in Falmouth before heading to South Devon at the end of September and into October.

We then have a few days in West Bay, Dorset in November.
