630miles
The South West Coast Path measures 630 miles in length, starting in Minehead on the Somerset coast. It continues along the North Devon coast, along the whole of the Cornwall coast and the South Devon coast. The final stretch along the Dorset coast finishes at South Haven Point on Poole Harbour.
I usually manage 4 weeks worth of walking the South West Coast Path during any given year and this website documents these walks together with any other walks that I happen to venture out on.
The 2016 walking season will kick off in early May where I'll be based close to Sidmouth and walking the East Devon and West Dorset coast, probably around from Exmouth to Abbotsbury. The walking season will continue in early June with walks on the South Cornwall coast from Mevagissey to Polmear, Polmear to Polperro, Polperro to Portwrinkle and Portwrinkle to Plymouth. Can't wait!
In early September I'll be based in the village of Marldon close to Torquay and walking the South Devon coast probably between Dartmouth and Starcross, over the river from Exmouth. The 2016 walking season will conclude in North Cornwall in late September where I'll walk the coast path down from Hartland Quay (technically in Devon) down to Padstow.
